About Me

My Photo
Michelle Azar
I'm a Christian, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend, and an unemployed teacher taking advantage of this extended vacation by improving my cooking, photography, and crafting skills (and blogs). My wonderful husband, Mario, says things like, "Don't forget to pack your knicks and knacks," and, "What are Q-tips called?" Some of my favorite things to do (other than cooking, photography, and crafting) are reading and watching John Cena movies! I hope you enjoy my blogs and thanks for stopping by!

Cards and a Holder

I created this card holder to hold a collection of 6 cards I made for my mom. Hopefully she doesn't see this before I send her the card folder! ;o) I tried to keep the cards within a general color scheme, but my mind gets distracted and, although I intended to keep things brown, green, and cream, the colors are a bit wild! I ended up making 6 unique cards, but I should have just limited myself! Better luck next time, I guess!

Card Holder

Card 1: card and envelope are made from the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge; the green square and bird are from the Wild Card cartridge and they have a beautiful stitch design on them!

Card 2: the card and envelope are from the Plantin Schoolbook cartidge; the flowers come from a huge gift bag I got at the 99 cents store because I loved the pattern so much!

Card 3: This was a cinch! Patterned paper and a couple of embellishments like ribbon and words! I cut the card and envelope from the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge.

Card 4: envelope and card cut from Plantin Schoolbook cartridge; add a few embellishments like vellum words and sparkly stickers and you're set!

Card 5: card and envelope cut from Plantin Schoolbook cartridge; i used my Cropadile to punch holes and make eyelets in the bottom, then I "sewed" the ribbon in and tied a bow! The stickers come from a work pack, and the "Home Sweet Home" is rub-on letters on white paper!

Card 6: EASY! EASY! EASY! This is vellum paper taped onto white paper! I didn't do a thing to this except cut and tape! I want my mom to be able to embellish this one as she pleases (since she's a talented cardmaker/scrapbooker herself). To me, it looks like a birthday card for a little girl, but it could be anything! This was cut from the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge, too!

Summer Card!

I made this card using the Wild Card cartridge on the Cricut. This card was made for a former student. She purposefully asked for my address so that she could write me letters and I received a beautiful card from her at the beginning of the summer vacation. I knew I had to repay her by making a card for her! This one was fun! My inspiration was the frog stickers I found in the craft section at Wal-Mart! Love it!

Best friend card!

I made this card using the Wild Card cartridge on my Cricut. This card was a "Just Because" card for another of my dearest and best friends, Kalene. We've been friends since 7th grade! She's the kind of friend that you can go months without talking to and pick up right where you left off! I love her!

Picnic Theme

I made this picnic-themed card for one of my dearest and best friends, Summer. She was my roommate in college and has been a lifeline for me since! I love her like a sister! I used the Wild Card cartridge on my Cricut along with some fun embellishments from a vellum packet.

Some Projects!

Well, I've had my Cricut Expression since Christmas 2008, and I've made several projects with it, but I just never took pictures. Alas, those projects are lost in oblivion. I've decided now to capture every project (good or bad) and post it here so that I won't lose those memories. Here are a few that I've done recently:

Happy Birthday, Taylor!

Happy Birthday, Dad!

A good friend is having a boy, it's her first baby! Congrats, Christa!

My friend LOVES ladybugs so I created this for her birthday!

I helped my husband design a project for his marketing class.

Thank you, Apartment Manager!
